MMB has signed a Concession Agreement in the year 2002 with M/s Dighi Port Ltd. (Balaji Group) to develop all-weather port at Dighi. The port is located in Rajpuri creek, Raigad District about 45 nautical miles south of Mumbai. The Port will have five berths in Phase-I with an investment of about 1000 crores and have a draught of 12.5 metres. When fully operational, this port is expected to handle about 18.15 MTPA of cargo. The construction activities of the port are in full swing, and the port is likely to be commissioned in December, 2009.
