MMB has signed the Concession Agreement in the year 2002 to develop all-weather port at Rewas-Aware. The port is strategically located at the mouth of the Dharamtar creek, Raigad District and is only 8 nautical miles south of Mumbai. The port will have nine berths in phase-I with an investment of about 5974 crores and have a draught of 14.5 metres. When fully operational, this port is expected to handle about 127 MTPA. The project has received environmental clearance and pre-construction activities are in progress. The port is likely to be commissioned in 2012.
